GrandEQ represents the latest state-of-the-art in digital equalizer design.

The goal in digital equalizer design is always to reduce the amount of digital artifacts which are introduced due to the necessarily finite sampling frequency.

Grand EQ offers a “minimum phase” and a “linear phase” mode.

In “minimum phase” mode, both the amplitude and the phase response follow the desired analog model with high accuracy up until > 20 kHz with only a very small amount of latency.

This leads to a very clean and open sound with the least possible amount of digital artifacts.

In “linear phase” mode, if one wants to avoid phase changes altogether, an elaborate algorithm using a time-reversal scheme creates a perfectly flat phase response with ultralow harmonic distortion.
